Many Troop Out To Support Hilda Baci As She Attempts To Beat Guiness World Record

Many Nigerians have come out in support of Hilda Baci, a Nigerian chef, food blogger, and CEO of My Food By Hilda, as she attempts to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon.

As of now, the record for the longest cooking marathon is held by Chef Lata Tondon from Rewa, India, who cooked for 87 hours and 45 minutes in 2019. Hilda plans to cook for 96 hours – which is four days straight with only an hour break every 12 hours. Her cookathon (cooking marathon)  started on Thursday, May 11th, and is set to conclude on Monday, May 15th.

The event is taking place at Amore Gardens in Lekki, and many Nigerians, including celebrities, food bloggers, and chefs, have gone to show their love and support. The cookathon is open and free for everyone to attend. There has been non-stop entertainment ever since the event started.

The event is sponsored by GB Food, Gino Bama, Woodscope, Amore Gardens, Cold Stone creamery, Film House Group, Vendease, AfriGlobal, Uber, Arla Foods, CWAY, Filmhouse, ORIKI, Power Oil, Slum2School, the Festus Fajemilo Foundation and more.

The cookathon hasn’t been an easy task for Hilda. She has experienced moments of exhaustion and even shed tears, but her determination and confidence have kept her going. At the time of writing, she has spent over 62 hours cooking.

We believe that Hilda’s resilience and determination will help her achieve her long-term goal and make every Nigerian proud of her. We are strongly rooting for her.
