1.  Nwabali is from Rivers State

Stanley Bobbi ‘Bobo’ Nwabali was born in Rivers State on the 10th of June 1996, into an Ogba Christian family, and grew up in Port Harcourt. 

2.  Nwabali was once a Striker:

Believe it or not, Nwabali’s footballing journey did not begin with him in between the post, but up front as a striker! Yes, you read that right. During his early days at Go Round FC, he used his pace and agility to terrorize defenders. However, a coach saw potential in his reflexes and hand-eye coordination, leading to a life-changing switch to goalkeeping. This unique perspective might explain his attacking mentality when claiming crosses and his confidence in coming off his line.

3. Nwabali’s role model is Manuel Neuer

Although he is heavily compared to Nigerian legend Vincent Enyeama. Stanley Nwabali says his idol is German goalkeeping legend Manuel Neuer. While Nwabali’s recent performances have been nothing short of spectacular, his rise to the top wasn’t a sudden explosion. He honed his skills through years of hard work and dedication, playing for several Nigerian clubs before making his international debut in 2021.
